About

Thieveland is an experience, based on years of weather beaten conditions in a burned out shell of an old steel town that began its epic collapse in the 70s. A reference of the hip-hop families of the midwest/northcoast 216+ area code.  A graphic sampling of the conditions within these crumbling city limits. A study of survival within the appropriation of youth cultures so conveniently discovered and discarded.  Our products are designed to inspire dialogue in the context of our shared experience with the world.

Thieveland:216 was created in 1991 by old school cleveland aerosol artist SANO. For several years the rustbelt city’s underground hip-hop crew DEF/CST manufactured and pushed thieveland shirts and hats from a modest screenprinting studio to heads all across the city and nation. After a decade’s hiatus and steeped in intense research and development, Thieveland is poised to re-enter the marketplace and bring dope styles back to your wearable art collection.
